The question of STEMeducation in a modern school and methodological approaches to its implementation in the subjects of the natural science cycle in the framework of project activities is considered. The example of the stages of the project work and breakdown into subject areas is given.
Since STEM education implies not only acquiring knowledge in individual subjects, but also applying it in practice, the key point of the project work is practical application. Within the subject area of Mathematics and Computer Science, this involves making calculations and presenting the final results using modern technical means. Thus, the subject of mathematics moves from the framework of academic knowledge to the framework of practical skills. In particular, the article gives an example of the formation of financial literacy of the learner as part of the work on the project.
STEM learning allows combining scientific methods, mathematical modeling, technological applications and engineering design. Thus, innovative critical thinking is formed, there is an opportunity and necessity of integrated learning on the topics, in which the active communication of students takes place and a new educational space is formed.

A full, planned education that incorporates the study of science combined with engineering, technology, and mathematics is a STEM education. In essence, it is a curriculum that is designed around the idea of educating students with an interdisciplinary and applied approach.Today's progressive system, unlike traditional learning, is a blended learning environment that allows for handson demonstration of how a given learned scientific method can be applied to everyday life. Students explore robotics and programming in addition to math and physics. The children see firsthand the applications of the exact sciences.
